Desi Guide is dedicated to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities, including individuals with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards across all 10+ vertical portals and merchant workspaces.
WCAG 2.1 Level AA Compliance
We continuously test and design our web interfaces to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.
Keyboard & Assistive Navigation
All interactive elements, forms, modal dialogs, and navigation menus are operable via keyboard tab navigation without getting trapped.
Screen Reader Semantic Hierarchy
We structure all pages with proper HTML5 semantic tags (h1-h6 headings, aria-labels, descriptive image alt text) for seamless interpretation by screen readers like VoiceOver, JAWS, and NVDA.
Visual Contrast & Sizing
Our core design system enforces high color contrast ratios between text and background surfaces, along with fluid text scaling across zoom levels.
Measures to Support Accessibility
Desi Guide Inc. takes the following measures to guarantee accessibility across our digital properties:
- Include accessibility as a core design principle in our UI Component Reuse Framework (
@/components/ui/). - Maintain clear vector icon cues and labels alongside all interactive controls.
- Ensure responsive fluid reflow so users can zoom in up to 200% without horizontal scrollbars or clipped text.
- Support reduced motion media queries for users prone to motion sensitivity.
